Last night at the Taipei Dome, with two outs and nobody on in the bottom of the ninth, Nicaragua's last hope rested on the bat of Juan Soto stepping up for his fourth at-bat. Pedro Juan Soto's stellar 5-inning, 7-strikeout performance effectively shut down the opposing lineup and swung the momentum Nicaragua's way.
Though they narrowly dropped the first game, Nicaragua proved their immense potential on the day. Going the distance with a powerhouse like Chinese Taipei was no fluke.
