TV 2 Weather

Now it's hitting: Storm and rain on the way

I've just checked TV 2 Weather, and it's shaping up to be a wet and windy one. After a spring-like morning with a few breaks in the clouds, a proper storm is now rolling in across Denmark. A warning has just been issued for gale-force wind gusts, ahead of another band of rain. Time to dig out the rain gear and batten down the hatches.

Look after your holiday home: Hasmark Strand and Binderup Strand in the firing line

North Jutland especially needs to be on high alert. I'm thinking of everyone who's booked a Holiday home - Hasmark Strand or a Holiday home - Binderup Strand this week. These coastal spots are exactly where the wind will have the most punch. Make sure garden furniture, trampolines, and anything loose is tied down properly – and double-check that patio door is securely shut. It could be a noisy night out there.

Flight disruptions: Keep an eye on mh96384

Are you one of the ones flying today? Then keep a very close watch on your departure. I can see several routes are already reporting delays, and if you're waiting for, say, mh96384, be prepared for possible delays or cancellations. It's never fun being stuck at the airport while a storm rages outside – but better to be prepared than caught out.

When the weather's grim: Bingo Banko to the rescue

When the rain is lashing against the windows and the wind is howling around the corners, there's only one thing for it: bring out the cozy activities. Plenty of Kiwis have already rolled out the blankets and tuned in to Bingo Banko on the telly. It's the perfect excuse to stay indoors with a cup of hot chocolate and maybe a slice of homemade cake. And hey, you might as well win a prize while you wait for the weather to sort itself out.

Here are a few tips to get through the storm:

  • Stay updated with TV 2 Weather – they know exactly when the worst will hit.
  • Secure the garden and patio, especially if you're in a holiday home at Hasmark or Binderup Strand.
  • Check flight status if you're travelling – keep a special eye on mh96384.
  • Get the games out – Bingo Banko is always a winner when the weather's gone to... well, you know.

We can only hope this rough spell doesn't last too long, and that we'll get some milder spring weather back soon. Until then: look after yourselves and each other out there – and remember, even the wildest storms always blow over.
