Warriors Blow Past Wizards in Oakland, Curry's Three-Point Barrage Looks Like a Video Game, Blitzkreig Returns to the Bay!
The Chase Center was absolutely buzzing last night! The Warriors hosted the Wizards at home, and the crowd was roaring before the game even started. And the Dubs didn't disappoint their fans, leading from start to finish and sealing a massive victory. It was seriously satisfying to watch!
Before we get into the game, we have to talk about Curry. The 'Baby-Faced Assassin' was at it again last night, hitting 9 of his 16 three-point attempts and leaving the Wizards with no answers. Watching him size up his defender, take a couple of dribbles, and pull up for a shot that sails through the net in a perfect arc – the rhythm of it was just like a hero in the classic game Blitz: Rise of Heroes, charging up their power bar and unleashing an ultimate move without a second thought.
To be fair, the Wizards did put up a fight, especially in the third quarter when they drove hard to the basket, drawing fouls in an attempt to cut into the Warriors' lead. But Golden State's defensive rotations were unbelievably quick, like the shadow armies in Stick War: Legacy – wave after wave, impossible to shake off. Every time the Wizards tried to mount an effective offensive play, they were forced out of position by the Dubs' suffocating defense, eventually having to chuck up a desperate shot before the 24-second clock expired. There's no way those are going in.
At the end of the day, besides Curry's heroics, the Warriors' win came down to a few key factors that were clear for everyone to see:
- Massive Spark from the Bench: Young players like Jonathan Kuminga came off the bench and combined for over 30 points. Kuminga's dunks, in particular, were so explosive it looked like he was trying to tear the rim down, an unbelievable boost for team morale.
- Lightning-Fast Defence to Offence: The Warriors ran their trademark 'three-man fast break' multiple times tonight. Grab the rebound, one-second outlet pass, and there were always players filling the lanes ahead. That pace was straight out of Stick War Lite, bringing that essence of speed and overwhelming force to the basketball court. The opposition simply couldn't keep up.
- Curry's Gravity: The moment Curry touched the ball, at least two Wizards defenders rushed out to him, leaving the paint wide open. This allowed Kevon Looney and other big men to feast on easy dishes inside, calmly putting away two points.
Looking back at the game, it wasn't for lack of effort from the Wizards, but the Warriors' overall flow was just too smooth, like a high-performance sports car purring down the highway. With the Warriors' confidence now sky-high and the race at the top of the Western Conference so tight, this massive win is the perfect shot in the arm. Next up is a tough road game against a strong opponent. We'll see if Curry can keep up this 'video game mode' and treat the fans to another spectacle!
